Our Class selects the Chief Marshal for the Alumni who is a member of our class.
The Chief Marshal is the honorary leader for all of Harvard's alumni on Commencement Day and presides over the “festival rites” of Commencement.
The criteria for candidates are as follows:
- contribution to one’s community and the larger society
- success in one’s career(s), vocation(s) and/or avocation(s)
- service and support to the Class of 1983 and/or Harvard University
