Incredibly, in September 2008 I celebrated 25 years of life in France after coming over on a JYA as a History and Lit of France major.
No regrets! About 20 of those years have been spent teaching English in an IUT (a 3-year technology college), in Vannes, Brittany, in the Statistics and Data Management department. I love life in France/Europe and this month I concluded a 7-year term as an elected member of the local town council, which was a fantastic learning experience. And I'm proud of raising my children Cedric (16) and Lucie (13) bilingually, which is a big plus for them in school. I can't go back for the 25th, since the kids and I will be in the States on vacation in July, after school lets out, doing both west and east coasts to visit family.
